TASK 2

  • What are the minimum requirements for your chosen production?
At least five original images 
article for an informative educational magazine aimed at an audience of 10–13 year olds. 
Front cover: Some found images are permitted in addition to the required minimum of five original images. 
Original masthead/title.
Strapline. 
Cover price, barcode, edition number. 
Original images: at least one main cover image. 
At least three cover lines one of which must link to the double page spread article. 
Double page spread article: Headline, stand-first and sub-headings. 
Original images: one main article image and at least three other images. 
Feature article of approximately 300 words that links to one of the cover lines on the front page. 
  • What is the target audience as prescribed in the brief?
An audience of children aged 10-13 years old
  • What is your target audience for the product you're creating? (this needs to link to the audience profiling post).

TASK 3 


In this task i will be exploring different types of images, fonts and colours to use in my magazine. i will be looking at different connotations and how these affect the way that my target audience might view my product. by creating this mood board i will also be exploring creative ways on how to present my work.

TASK 4 - Create a series of mood boards that give an indication of the types of images (may include photos and/or illustrations), overall colour scheme, types of fonts and colours you are considering using in your production.


Your mood board needs to have a selection of text (type of font, sizes and colour), colour themes and kind of images that would help explain they style and concept of the magazine you want to make.

TASK 5 - When you finish the mood boards you need analyse them answering the following questions:

  • How did they help you define content for your product?
It helped me choose some colours that i want to include in my magazine and the main concepts of my products and including my audience. it gave me a cover idea to animate my characters. 
  • What will be your overall colour scheme of your production? 
ill be using pastel colours along with safety colours (red, a dark blue, green, bright yellow)
  • What kind of images/shots would you use in your production?
animations and images 
  • What kind of fonts would you use in your production? 
big fonts to draw attention
  • What kind of intertextuality would you use in your production? 
apps that children are familiar with
